During an election year, Americans are bombarded by various messages and images from candidates. Discuss political media through the lens of shared American values and the inherent tensions that exist between them. Explore methods for guiding students to understand political rhetoric from the election of 1800 to the modern day.
The content of this workshop will cover various U.S. elections, so it will be helpful for U.S history and Minnesota history teachers in middle and high school.
The workshop is free but registration is required.
November 5, 2016 at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.
This workshop is generously funded by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
