Students will prepare for and participate in a simulated Cabinet Meeting with the President.  The meeting is to determine the budget for the upcoming year.  Cabinet leaders must prepare presentations regarding the programs important to their department and make the case for funding to the President.  Research into the work of the various Executive Branch departments is necessary.

Objectives:

  • Students will understand the role of the Executive Branch.
  • Students will understand the Federal Budget.
  • Students will research a department of the Executive Branch.
  • Students will prepare persuasive presentations based on their research.
