iCivics – “People’s Pie” game

In People’s Pie, students will learn to control the budget of the federal government. They will choose how federal revenues should be raised and how taxpayers’ money should be spent. They must also decide how to fund programs that are important to them, without setting taxes too high or borrowing too much money.

Objectives -

  • Analyze how federal tax and spending policies affect the national budget and the national debt
  • Explain how federal, state, and local taxes support the economy as a function of the government
  • Describe various types of projects and services provided through local, state, and national taxes
