From Mr. Raymond’s Civics and Social Studies Academy

This video teaches students the structure, functions and processes of the Executive Branch of the United States Federal Government.

Students will learn:

• the main job of the Executive Branch headed up by the President of the United States in enforcing or executing the law
• the Constitutional Powers of the President known as “expressed powers,” such as the veto, appointments of federal judges and Supreme Court Justices, nomination of department heads, making treaties with other countries, and heading the military
• the “roles” of the President such as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, chief-of-state, chief diplomat, chief legislator, party chief, and chief economist
