In this activity, students acknowledge how the law influences their lives, and how the Constitution provides a framework for such laws.
Objectives
-Introduce governmental regulation of individual activities.
-Consider the authority for governmental action: state and federal constitutions.
-Consider the rationale for governmental action.
-Compare individual rights with the public good.
-Compare natural occurrence of life’s events with the times of governmental action. (For example, the inability to continue working with mandatory retirement.)
