Lesson Plan: Media, Confidential Sources, and Shield Laws

In this lesson, students work in small groups. They consider why confidential sources are important to journalists and analyze a series of video clips to determine the central arguments for and against a proposed shield law. Finally, they deliberate in their groups to reach a single, proposed solution to the problem and share their solution with the rest of the class.
