Students will learn about Abraham Lincoln and his role in shaping America by researching his life. Information will be presented in a timeline as well as on a map of the United States. Students will make timelines of their own lives and the great things they’ve done.

Objectives

  • Students will study the life of Abraham Lincoln.
  • They will familiarize themselves with key dates in his life.
  • They will reinforce mapping skills and information organization.
  • They will recognize great and good events in their own lives and those of their classmates by applying the activity to themselves.
