Students identify and rank crimes as juvenile status offenses, misdemeanors, petty offenses and felonies. They think about the consequences of crimes. Using hyphothetical scenarios, students work to identify all the victims of crimes. Finally, they think about appropriate punishments for crimes.

Students will:
- Define the terms “crime” and “consequence”
- Identify the four categories of crime
- Analyze possible consequences of crime to offenders, victims and the community
- Understand and apply the concept of restorative justice to various circumstances and offenses
