“Each year the Justices and their law clerks review anywhere between 8 to 10 thousand petitions that come to Court – each one of them hoping that the Court will agree to hear their case at oral argument. Of these thousands, only 80-100 get heard during a term. In this video, the Justices talk about the process of how they select the cases that will come before the Supreme Court.”
