An easy lesson that helps students understand the basics of the appeals process. Students will learn the difference between a trial court and an appeals court.

Objectives:

  • Students will be able to describe the judicial branch of government.
  • Students will be able to define what a court is.
  • Students will be able to name three characteristics of a trial court and three characteristics of an appellate court.
